Catch-Up

This will be an attempt at getting to this blog site somewhat regularly now that summer is here!  But first some ketchup...

MARCH

St. Patrick's Day   Rosa's leprechan trap.  We made the pot out of paper mache and the ladder from driftwood. Inside the pot was some "bait" - lucky charms cereal and rocks painted gold.  This was a school project.  "Mom, I think it's not very kind to trap a leprechan."  And Rosa was serious about this.  She was into making the trap, but not catching a leprechan.

Birthday cake with Grandma
Birthday Girl  Rosa opted for a weekend in Victoria at a hotel instead of having a party.  Of course, we still had a dinner and cake with Grandma at home.

TV, Pop, Hotel Room...Life is Grand!
We had lots of fun in Victoria - swam in the pool, ate at the Spaghetti Factory, went to the Imax, went for Dim Sum, shopped, spent a leisurely two hours at Munro's bookstore!  Rosa chose to buy a dictionary with her money from Grandma Eskelson.
Yes, Rosa is Lili too!
Rosa's middle name is Li.  Written in her papers from Shanggao, it is stated that all the nannies called her "LiLi" as a nickname.  She has decided that she would like to use that nickname now.  So we have been trying to remember to call her LiLi.  She writes that name on all her schoolwork and corrects us when we forget!
